You're designing or building a new property, or perhaps refurbishing an old one. You want to look settled and established, to blend in with the surrounding buildings. You have looked at other roof tiles and found them too bright and regular to be able to achieve this. The ASHBURY is a tile that will give you the finish that you are looking for. Designed and produced specifically to give the appearance of an old reclaimed tile but with the assurance of the durability and quality of a new one. It's subtle blends of reds and browns will suit almost any location to provide an instant character with timeless good looks.   • Description: A true handmade plain clay roof tile.
  • Size: 10.5" x 6.5" (265mm x 165mm nominal).
  • Colour: A blend of soft reds and browns.
  • Fittings: Eaves / Top tiles, Tile and a half, 300mm Half round ridge, 300mm Hogsback ridge, Bonnet hip tiles, Universal valley tiles, Hanging angles, Ornamental tiles can be made to order.
  • Coverage: 60no tiles per square metre.
  • Lap: (minimum) 65mm.
  • Gauge: (minimum) 100mm.
  • Roof Pitch: (minimum) 35 degrees. BS5534:PART 1:1997 recommended minimum is 40 degrees.
  • Laying: We would recommend mixing tiles from three packs to ensure good colour consistency and that the tiles should be fixed in accordance with British Standard Code of Practice for Slating and Tiling BS5534 Part 1:1990.

ASHBURY Handmade clay roof tiles have been rigorously tested by CERAM Building Technology to ensure that they comply with British Standards / European Norms required for clay roof tiles. These tests include BS EN 538:1994 for strength, BS EN539-2:1998 for resistance to frost damage and BS EN539-1:1994 for impermeability to water. They are supplied with a factory backed 30 year guarantee against any failure caused by manufacturing defects and production is tested on a regular basis to ensure that these standards ate maintained.
